Prescription collection and delivery, how it works at Cure Clinics

A calm guide to the options, what you will need, and how we keep your medicines safe from request to handover.

If you collect prescriptions regularly, the difference between a smooth routine and a stressful one usually comes down to two things: knowing what is ready, and choosing the handover that fits your day. At Cure Clinics we support collection in store and delivery, with clear steps and the right checks at each point.

Prescription collection and delivery, how it works at Cure Clinics

01Choose the handover that fits your routine

Most people use one of three routes: collection in store, delivery to your home, or collection by a nominated person. The best option depends on mobility, timing and whether the medicines need extra advice on collection.

If you are unsure, start with in store collection. It is the simplest route when your prescription includes a new medicine or a change, because we can check understanding before you leave.

What to have ready

Having a few details to hand helps us find the correct prescription quickly and safely.

  • Your full name and date of birth
  • Your address or postcode
  • The name of the medicine, if you know it
  • Any message from your GP practice about timing or changes
  • For a nominated collector, their name and your permission

02Safety checks are part of the service

Whether you collect or receive a delivery, we still complete the same safety steps. That includes confirming identity, checking the prescription matches what is being supplied, and making sure any warnings or changes are explained.

If something does not look right, we pause and clarify with you or with the prescriber. This can add time, but it prevents errors and avoids avoidable delays later.

If you choose delivery, the process in four steps

  1. 01

    Confirm what is needed

We agree which items are required and whether anything is urgent or time sensitive.

  2. 02

    Prepare and double check

Your medicines are assembled and checked, with any advice notes included.

  3. 03

    Arrange a handover

We confirm the delivery day and what to do if you are not in at the time.

  4. 04

    Complete the supply

We record the handover and make sure you know how to contact us if you have questions.

03Common issues, and how to avoid them

The most common delays are missing items on the prescription, out of stock medicines, or unclear nomination instructions. If you request repeats, ordering a few days earlier than you think you need helps.

If you have a new address or phone number, tell us before you request delivery. It avoids a failed handover and protects your information.

If you would like help choosing between collection and delivery, our team can talk it through with you and explain what will happen at each step.
