By 2019, Mike could have put his own name above the door. Instead he asked a friend he'd known since he was a boy, Gavin, to discover what Broadway Pharmacy actually was. What came back was a line from Hippocrates: cure sometimes, treat often, comfort always. Mike's reaction was immediate: "That is Broadway. That is absolutely Broadway." In that moment a new concept was born, Broadway Pharmacy with Cure Clinics.
Mike Ball qualified as a pharmacist in 2006 and trained a few miles up the road, all the while living in and around Preston. In 2010, he finally walked through the door of Broadway Pharmacy, this time to work alongside Keith and Maureen Fletcher, who'd run it for decades. "I wanted to create something my profession, my family and my friends would be proud of," he says. Making it happen took nine more years.
